fantastic shot, especially like the purple of the sky and the reflection in the fountain

Good shot. I took one at Goose Fair, but to be honest the gangs of dodgy lads roaming around unnerved me with all the expensive kit on display. The Trip to Jerusalem makes a good night shot too. There's a few local ones on my page.

Thanks! :)

For some reason, I don't seem to get too worried about having my kit around people - as long as I feel reasonably safe, anyway. Don't know if I'd have it out at the Goose Fair, though - as you say, there are dodgy-looking gangs around...

Fantastic shot! The lighting looks great, and the blur of the lights on the ferris wheel is perfect. The colors are so vibrant!

Thank you! :)

It looks like it was worth the time out in the cold to get these shots! :)

Nice shot! I love the lighting, blur and reflection. Best photo I've seen of it =)
Have you been on it? I live in Notts, but haven't yet - it's quite expensive for a 15 minute ride :bucktooth:

Thanks! I was in the Market Square for about 1 1/2 hours finding good places to photograph last night, have ended up posting six of about fifty that I took on here.

I've not been on it - I plan to at some point though - I think somebody (probably on Trent FM) said that it'd still be up for another week or so.

I'm not sure yet if it'd be better to go up at night or during the day, though. £5 per person is a bit too much for a lowly student to pay twice for to see both views! :p

Yehh, they've decided to leave it up until the end of march.

I suppose photos would be prettier and more interesting in the dark, if it was possible to stay still for long enough. I think I'd probably prefer to go at night cos I never really see around that area when it's dark. I live in West Bridgford so I can see the wheel from my house =)

Hope you get to go on it before it goes - it'd be worth it!

Okay - I'll have to go up there one evening and see how far I can see from there. :) If I have until the end of March, then I can wait until it's nice and clear so I can get a good view!

The best that I got from shots of the ferris wheel in the dark is this one: [link]

I hope you decide to go on it at some point - you'll probably never get the same view of Nottingham again! :)
